HealthCare Partners, A California Physician Practice, Extends Successful Purchasing Relationship With Premier Alliance

Charlotte, NC - Torrance, Califonia - based HealthCare Partners, LLC, (HCP), owner of California's largest private physician practice as well as large practices in Central Florida, Utah and Nevada, has renewed its group purchasing relationship with the Premier alliance.

"We are pleased with the support from Premier in helping HealthCare Partners derive maximum value from our extensive portfolio," said Jim Kostick, HCP vice president of Administrative Services. "We know that Premier is committed to working with us to support our efforts to be ever more efficient and cost effective in our purchasing practices."

Premier Purchasing Partners President Mike Alkire said, "We are gratified that one of the country's most innovative physician groups looked at potential group purchasing partners and chose to maintain its relationship with Premier. We look forward to working with HCP and doing all we can to help them keep their expenses as low as possible for the benefit of all the patients and communities they serve."

"With centralized purchasing and significant supply spend that's comparable to many hospitals, HCP functions like an IDN," said Joan Ralph, Premier vice president, Continuum of Care Services. "We look forward to becoming even more actively engaged with HCP to help them take advantage of their size and successfully leverage all of their contracts."
