Apollo Corporation Introduces Bathing System For Long-Term Healthcare Facilities
New Advantage Bathing System Offers Customizable Colors and a Variety of Styles to Create the Look and Feel of Home for Facility Residents
Somerset, WI - Apollo Corporation announced today the long-term healthcare industry's first customizable bathing system, which incorporates color to help create the look and feel of home. The Advantage, Apollo's new, seated whirlpool bathing system helps remove residents' anxieties about their bathing environment by re-creating a familiar atmosphere that puts them at ease. Long-term care professionals, architects and designers now can incorporate the bathtub's color and style when creating their bathing areas, instead of designing around it.
"Long-term care professionals desire bathing systems that provide a warmer, home-like setting for their residents," says Adrian Sween, president of Apollo Corporation. "In fact, more and more facilities are converting their bathing areas to 'spa' centers to create welcoming spaces for their residents and a notable point of difference with prospective residents and their families. Apollo's non-institutional bathing systems are the heart of that transformation and can lead to greater marketability and a healthier census."
The Advantage offers six standard equipment configurations and features six color panels on the tub's sides, one on the door and three on the optional reservoir cabinet. Long-term care professionals can choose from a selection of standard, upgraded or custom colors, giving them a choice of inexpensive options that eliminate the look and feel of an institutional bathing system.
David W. Nattress, chief executive officer of Advance Health Care Corp. says, "We recently installed one of Apollo's Advantage bathing systems in our new, 60-bed, 25,000-square-foot facility in Meridian, Idaho. Its new, innovative design is less clinical looking, yet has all of the operational features that we like in the Apollo bathing system. Our goal is to make our patients feel like they are in a nice hotel rather than a healthcare facility. We go to great lengths in design and decorating to achieve the best atmosphere possible. The Advantage helps us get closer to that goal."
Apollo's new Advantage seated, whirlpool bathing systems also feature the company's exclusive:
- Patented and FDA-approved Remedy germicidal ultraviolet water purifier, which is the only technology on the market that kills bacteria during the bath to help reduce nosocomial infections by up to 50 percent;
- Rapid-Fill Reservoir, which fills the tub in just 65 seconds to provide a truly efficient bathing process; and
- No-lift Level Glide Transfer System and front load entry, which eliminate the need for dangerous up-and-over lifts to promote safer, more dignified bathing for residents and staff.
