The FirstSave Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that delivers an electric shock to the heart to halt sudden cardiac arrest and restore normal heart rhythm. The device now includes a text screen, which provides users with a visual display of instructions to guide them through a cardiac arrest emergency rescue. It also features an elapsed rescue time, number of shocks administered and a CPR countdown.
