OptiMed's Central Image Library (Jukebox) provides deep archiving capabilities while maintaining easy accessibility of patient case studies. The Jukebox configuration is customized to meet the long-term storage requirements of each customer.
The Jukebox contains multiple disk drives, which manage WORM (Write Once, Read Many) optical discs and DVD with individual capacities of up to 9.1GB per media. Jukebox storage capacities from 150 to over 40,000 patient studies are available. For larger capacities or more flexible configurations, multiple jukeboxes can be utilized on the same network.
Patient image files are protected by several system and archive design features, including:
- Built-in file server redundancy
- Deep archive storage confirmation
- WORM technology ensure patient data can't be accidentally overwritten
- UPS provides protection against power outages
- Media life certified to exceed 20 years
- Disc formatting & encryption validates full compatibility with system software and jukebox operating software
- File Server: Pentium computer with Windows NT operating system
- Archive management operating software
- Multiple WORM /DVD record / player units
- Network interface operating software
- Uninterruptible power supply configured according to system size
