Anesthesia Circuit Protection System

The safe and effective way to increase productivity in the anesthesia workplace.

Complete Circuit Protection Consist of:

  • A filter or filter/HCH device designed to protect the internal lumen of the anesthesia circuit from contamination
  • A protective sheath that prevents gross contamination of the external surfaces of the circuit

The circuitGuard has an integral CO2 Port on the "dry" side of the filter. This port is the only access for ETCO2 monitoring (anesthesia standard) and insures that the circuitGuard is used in every case.

  • Filter protection for internal lumen
  • Sheath protection for external surfaces
  • CO2 Port ensures 100% use of the circuitGuard in anesthetic procedures
  • Reduced environmental contamination
  • Decreases turnover time between surgeries
  • Reduces circuit costs
  • Reduces hazardous waste cost of anesthesia circuit
  • Decreases storage requirements (40 circuitGuard units in the same box as 20 circuits)
  • Increased protection for Healthcare workers

In order for cross contamination to occur when utilizing the circuitGuard at the proximal airway, bacteria must travel into the circuit through one filter and then traverse back through the next patient's filter. Test results show the ability to prevent cross contamination is >99.99% and NO bacteria were found (actual experimental value is 100.00%). With this data we can safely say that the Single Patient Use of the circuitGuard at the proximal airway will allow utilization of one anesthesia circuit daily on multiple patients with a risk of cross contamination of ~100,000,000 to one.
