Videoconferencing System

The PCS-1600 videoconferencing system is compact and lightweight. It provides everything you need for communications with standards-based systems all over the world, especially with the optional ability to link multiple sites together at the same time. With a built-in 10/100 Base T Ethernet port and optional Smart Management Solutions (SMS) software, the system easily connects to a LAN/WAN and can be controlled via any computer connected to the network.

With SMS, meetings can be scheduled from any PC on the network. For a smooth meeting without interruption, the operation of the equipment can be monitored remotely. In addition, technical adjustments can be made by a systems administrator through an Internet browser-based control center. SMS also coordinates many of the tasks associated with managing networked videoconference equipment such as meeting scheduling, system management and address book control.

The unit offers plug-and-play connectivity right out-of-the-box. It takes less than five minutes for the initial setup. With the addition of a Memory Stick port, the system introduces digital convergence to videoconferencing. It allows users to incorporate digitally stored JPEG (resolutions up to 1024 x 768 pixels) still images, presentations, documents and diagrams into a conference and share them with all meeting participants. The images can be taken by digital cameras, camcorders or other compatible devices.

Customizable to the user's needs and network requirements, the system features a dockable TrakCam camera, dual monitor support, near broadcast quality video, auto configuration, intuitive graphical user interface, easy-to-use Remote Commander Unit, simple menu structure, on-line help,
password protection, auto bonding, and easy hardware upgradeability, as well as call log history and full control via a built-in Web browser.
