The GDC SynerG Detachment System is designed for the endovascular treatment of brain aneurysms. The Guglielmi Detachable Coil (GDC) family of products allows cerebral aneurysms to be treated less invasively as compared to the traditional method of surgical craniotomy and clipping.
The new detachable coil system incorporates the latest technological advances in endovascular aneurysm embolization. It delivers a new power supply for coil detachment accuracy and re- engineered GDC coils that significantly improve detachment, consistency and efficiency. All GDC coils feature an electrolytic detachment system in which no mechanical movement is required to deploy the coil in the aneurysm. This system is designed to provide precise, Motion-Free detachment for endovascular aneurysm therapy.
