Disposable Bathing System

The Bag Bath is a disposable bathing system designed to improve the way healthcare professionals care for their patients' skin while reducing the costs associated with providing daily in-patient hygiene. Everything needed to bathe a patient is included in one lightweight, convenient package. The bathing system eliminates the need for cumbersome bathing equipment, soap, water, towels, lotion and linens. Containing a precise amount of no-rinse cleanser and soothing emollients, the soap-free and alcohol-free system also eliminates the need for rinsing and drying, leaving behind a soothing moisturizer.

Disposable cotton-blend cloths approximate washcloths in both size and composition and can be heated or cooled based upon need or patient preference. The system allows nurses to be available for higher priority patient care by reducing bathing time by as much as 60–80%, according to the supplier. It can also reduce the chances of cross-contamination, while eliminating the risks inherent in using soap.
