Integrated Telehealth Partners Joins Psychiatric Medical Care

NASHVILLE, TENN. & WEST DES MOINES, IOWA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Integrated Telehealth Partners (ITP) has joined Psychiatric Medical Care, LLC (PMC), a leading behavioral healthcare management company with operations in more than 20 states. ITP leverages telehealth to provide access to psychiatric services in underserved communities across a variety of clinical settings. The company offers both outpatient telepsychiatry services in community mental health clinics as well as 24/7 emergency telepsychiatry consultation services in hospital emergency rooms. PMC manages both inpatient psychiatry units and intensive outpatient psychiatry programs within hospitals. In December 2018, Consonance Capital Partners, a leading healthcare-focused private equity fund, recapitalized PMC in partnership with the company’s management team.

Doug Wilson, President of ITP, said, “The combination with PMC furthers our mission of helping individuals with mental health needs by creating a platform with a broader range of behavioral health service offerings and by providing our customers with access to a larger pool of psychiatric providers.”

ITP provides access to an experienced group of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners who have extensive training and board certifications covering child & adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, substance abuse treatment, detox, and medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction. ITP’s providers deliver real-time care leveraging top-of-the-line high-definition video and web conferencing tools. All patient interactions are secured and HIPAA compliant.

“Together, we have common values and a shared focus of meeting the behavioral health needs of rural and underserved communities. I saw ITP’s vision and knew we could do great work together in the pursuit of increasing access to mental healthcare across the U.S. We are excited to partner with ITP to continue to provide outcome-focused solutions for all of our customers,” noted J.R. Greene, Chief Executive Officer, PMC.
