Montclair Hospital Medical Center Installs Dynamic Imaging's IntegradWeb PACS

Allendale, NJ - Dynamic Imaging (www.dynamic-imaging.com), the leader in Web-based image and information management, announced recently that Prime Healthcare Services' Montclair Hospital Medical Center in Montclair, California has installed Dynamic Imaging's IntegradWeb PACS, a Web-based picture archiving and communications system (PACS). The new PACS allows Montclair Hospital Medical Center to provide improved service to its patients and referring physicians by eliminating the need for traditional X-ray film while quickly transitioning to an all-digital workflow.

"The new PACS at Montclair Hospital Medical Center is an example of Prime Healthcare Services' commitment to the hospital and the community it serves to improve its infrastructure and update its equipment with state-of-the-art technology that helps to provide high-quality patient care," said Dr. Prem Reddy, FACC, FCCP, Prime Healthcare Services' chairman of the board. "Prime Healthcare Services is investing millions of dollars in Montclair Hospital Medical Center to improve operational efficiencies," continued Dr. Reddy.

PACS enables radiologists to interpret diagnostic imaging studies digitally instead of using traditional X-ray film, resulting in radiology results (i.e., images and reports) instantaneously available across Montclair Hospital Medical Center's secure computer network. Once on the network, images and results will be available for simultaneous access by multiple appropriately privileged hospital staff members, clinicians, and referring physicians.

"Prime Healthcare Services is dedicated to providing its patients excellence in medical care and its physicians access to the latest technology," said Lex Reddy, MBA, MHA, Prime Healthcare Services' president and CEO. "As the advanced features and networking capabilities of PACS are implemented at Montclair Hospital Medical Center, patients can be confident that they will be provided the highest level of care."

"Montclair Hospital Medical Center is proud to have implemented the most modern PACS technology, which will dramatically enhance our level of care and the overall service we provide. IntegradWeb PACS streamlines the way we practice radiology by providing high-resolution images that can be accessed via the Internet within minutes," said Gregory Brentano, the administrator at Montclair Hospital Medical Center. "PACS digitally captures and stores a variety of diagnostic images in real time. Storing images in PACS also provides higher image resolution than previous technology and allows 3-D images to be rotated and repositioned to inspect areas of concern more closely. Clinicians with appropriate log-on credentials will be able to access and view their patient images from a computer via the Web."

IntegradWeb PACS allows radiologists to describe their findings to referring physicians in a very sophisticated yet understandable way. The system's carefully created key-image collages supplement and provide a visual explanation of the radiology report. The PACS tools for the radiologist are the same tools for referring physicians. This enables referring physicians to view imaging exams when consulting with radiologists, as well as view exams at home or at their offices—even during patient consultation.

By implementing IntegradWeb PACS, Montclair Hospital Medical Center demonstrates its commitment to investing in leading-edge health care technology and providing the ultimate in radiology services for referring physicians and the patients they serve. The ease of use and broad functionality of IntegradWeb PACS is the result of many years of clinical input from world-class radiologists, physicians, and information technology professionals.
