New York Weill Cornell Medical Center Selects Vitalcom For Wireless

VitalCom Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement with the 880-bed New York Weill Cornell Medical Center (NYWCC) for the implementation of the PatientNet(tm) system, including a three-year software service and support agreement. Upon implementation, NYWCC will have the capacity to monitor 128 patients across two buildings spanning the mile-wide campus. Further, using PatientBrowser(tm) technology, physicians from the hospital will be able to access real-time vital sign information from remote locations via a secure Internet connection. NYWCC is part of New York-Presbyterian, which independently selected and installed PatientNet in late 2000 at the Columbia Presbyterian campus.
