Non-Drug Option for High-Blood Pressure
Used once a day for 10-15 minutes, it automatically recognizes individual breathing patterns with a belt-like respiration sensor and a miniature-processing unit. The device guides patients to lower their breathing rate -- to perform breathing exercises -- in a way that is best for the individual. Following each exercise, the patient's breathing returns to normal. Within a few weeks of using the product, patients can proactively lower their blood pressure.
The package includes the Resperate device and additional components that enable patients and doctors to better manage their condition. A home blood pressure monitor automatically measures blood pressure and stores readings. A computer cable link then enables patients to connect the device and blood pressure monitor to a personal computer at a convenient time for the patient. Once connected, the data from both the blood pressure monitor and Resperate device is automatically transferred to a secure Internet-based reporting system. This allows the patient to print a comprehensive report that can be reviewed with the doctor at their next visit.
