Base2's On Line Order Management System facilitates and automates this core business process. Product information from a variety of suppliers is amalgamated into a standard on line database unique and representative of the distributor, and a "browser only" ordering interface is provided for the distributor's customers. Inherent in the system is the ability to group and route orders to the appropriate suppliers based on the orders received by the distributor from their customers.
The customer-to-distributor ordering interface requires no special software other than the browser, and each customer can use a customized interface reflecting articles most often ordered. Order status can be tracked in real-time by both the customer and distributor.
The web based database tracks both orders from customers as well as distributor orders to suppliers. Multiple inventory locations can be handled and features such as minimum stock level alerts implemented.
Generating customer order confirmation and supplier order PO's, the system greatly automates the ordering, supply and distribution process. The system can be easily customized for individual industry needs, and deployed over existing systems or provided as an ASP service.
