The Hermes Control Center simplifies the operating room environment by creating a computer network to control computerized medical devices with interfaces for the surgeon and operating room staff. Surgeons have direct control over the devices using voice commands, while the operating room staff can input commands via a touch-screen pendant.
The Hermes-ready Aesop allows the surgeon to use a single voice card to control Aesop and the other computerized medical devices in the operating room, in addition to providing increased ease of use and improved information delivery.
