The Palm Pilot is designed to provide health care providers access to its Community Health Network (CHN) of resources. The CHN supports all facets of mobile and home health care and features an on-line referral network, wireless support for scheduling of caregivers and product order management, and patient reminders that can automatically remind patients of doctor's appointments or to take medications. Palm applications include medical products ordering and caregiver scheduling and billing. These applications take advantage of the variety of connectivity solutions currently available, with support for CDPD wireless through their partnership with J P Systems Software, dial-up connections and direct PC synchronization.
