Palm Security

DataGator is the first product of its kind to automatically encrypt all data on Palm O/S handheld devices. It provides an application-independent method for maintaining encrypted data on Palm O/S handheld devices. It works seamlessly in the background to secure the data of all record-based applications and is compatible with Palm O/S 3.0 or greater. It is also compatible with Handspring Visor, IBM WorkPad PC Companions, Qualcomm pdQ smartphone, Sony Clie and Symbol SPT 1700 and 1740. There are three versions available: the Standard version, the Professional version and the Enterprise version. In the Standard version, a person's Address Book, Date Book, To Do list, and Memo Pad, plus any passphrases and personal information they have stored within these applications are secured by 448-bit Blowfish or 168-bit triple-DES encryption technology. In the Professional version, data in all applications, including third party applications will be protected through secure encryption. Enterprise versions can be created and priced on a case-by-case basis according to a company's IT deployment specifications.
