Patient Management Software

EDMS is a software and communications system that impacts patient management, resource management, and revenue capture in hospital emergency departments. It manages the patient experience to maximize healthcare outcomes and end-user satisfaction and loyalty; manages the allocation of human, financial, and facility resources to maximize operational efficiencies; and enhances the capture of revenue by decreasing defections, increasing volume.

The system utilizes a UI design based on touch screen technology, and allows volunteers with a minimum of training to register patients entering the emergency department. The UI also allows staff access to critical patient information, offering knowledge of the patients' status, including acuity level, wait time, assigned staff, and ancillary services involved. The system also offers real-time knowledge of resource availability, such as beds and staff.

It facilitates the ability to order tests, medications, and procedures; to generate patient discharge instructions; to generate reports of operational metrics. The system also features automated discharge instructions in English and Spanish, including prescription writing capacity.
