PneuGel Ankle Support

Sroufe Healthcare Products, a leading manufacturer of orthopaedic soft goods, has unveiled its new patent-pending PneuGel Ankle Support to help soothe and support patient's ankle following injury or other trauma. Sroufe's PneuGel ankle brace is equipped with a removable plastic pack containing a gel chamber backed by an air chamber. Unlike similar products on the market, Sroufe's bi-component PneuGel technology is the first to feature a small squeeze pump that allows variable amounts of air to be pumped into the pack, depending on the patient's comfort level or compression requirements. Similar to a basketball valve, the valve automatically closes once the pump is removed, trapping the air inside the pack. In addition, the freezable gel pack offers all the benefits of cold therapy including reduction of pain and swelling following surgery or trauma.
