The Pyxis PatientStation is a comprehensive, portable point-of-care information system that works directly at the patient's bedside. Designed to reduce medication errors, improve patient safety and increase patient satisfaction, it introduces an entirely new service for healthcare systems.

Unlike other healthcare automation solutions, patients and guests can directly access the system to take advantage of a variety of on-line tools including education and training resources, Internet access, e-mail services and personalized entertainment choices. The content delivered through the product creates an opportunity for patients to take a more active role in their own care.

With fully secure access, clinicians use the system for barcode scanning to help decrease medication errors, while providing electronic MAR (medication administration record) access at the bedside. Nurses, pharmacists and physicians can review physician orders and patient order history, access on-line drug information and utilize bedside documentation and communication.
