SCL Health Opens New Hospital In Northglenn

Facility includes state-of-the-art medical technology, brings new physician practices to community

Northglenn, CO /PRNewswire/ - SCL Health's fully licensed hospital, SCL Health Community Hospital – Northglenn, is now open and accepting patients.

The 60,000-square-foot hospital features a modern emergency department with surgical capabilities, an eight-bed inpatient unit, an advanced imaging center and laboratory services.

Also located on site are specialty services for heart, gastroenterology, and foot and ankle. The third floor of the facility is home to the medical offices and endoscopy center for Gastroenterology of the Rockies. SCL Health's The Heart Institute of Colorado – North, and Community Foot & Ankle Clinics, are located on the second floor.

The facility is staffed by board-certified physicians who are dedicated to providing the same high quality, compassionate care offered today at SCL Health's other hospital locations.

The hospital comes through a joint venture agreement between SCL Health and Emerus Hospitals, the nation's leading developer of micro-hospitals and the expansion partner of choice to leading health systems across the nation. It's designed to bring quality healthcare closer to where people live, work and play in Northglenn and the surrounding communities. It's the latest of three hospitals built through the partnership. A fourth care facility is under construction in Aurora and scheduled to open later this month.

A recent ribbon-cutting event for the new facility attracted key community leaders such as Mayor Joyce Downing, city of Northglenn; Joel Montbriand, M.D., president of Gastroenterology of the Rockies; and Sean Stricker, Regional CEO of Emerus Holdings Inc.

"SCL Health has proudly served the Denver metro area for generations, establishing a reputation of trust, compassion and excellence for our patients and communities," said SCL Health President and CEO Mike Slubowski. "We are pleased to expand on this legacy by bringing our newest hospital and its services to Northglenn and its neighbors."

"We are excited to continue our partnership with SCL Health," said Craig Goguen, CEO of Emerus. "SCL Health Community Hospital – Northglenn will provide convenient access to advanced medical care, which families in Northglenn and neighboring communities expect and deserve."

Kiewit Building Group Inc., ranked as a top engineering and construction firm by Fortune magazine, developed the new facility.

"We are incredibly grateful for the amount of support we've received as we introduce these community hospitals in the Colorado market," Stricker said. "In our experience, patients feel comfort in receiving medical care closer to home, where they can be near their families. This hospital will deliver high-quality, compassionate care to Northglenn residents, right in their neighborhoods."
