Sprayable Hemostat

CoStasis is a sprayable liquid hemostat for use in surgical procedures to control bleeding. Patients who experience persistent bleeding during or after surgery may require prolonged hospitalization, experience higher rates of post-operative complications, and have a higher risk of mortality. The liquid hemostat is easy to prepare and administer, and uses autologous (i.e., from the patient) human plasma. It is also bioresorbable, meaning that it remains intact during the critical wound healing period and is then absorbed and eliminated by the body.
