Getting all that light to the surgical field is a high efficiency, low-loss fiberoptic cable. Encased in a lightweight steel monocoil, and coated with a tough urethane sheath, the strong and durable fiberoptic cable survives the daily punishment of the busiest operating theater like no other fiberoptic cable can. With standard unshielded cables, as fibers break, light output declines. With Welch Allyn Headlight Systems utilizing state-of-the-art shielded fiberoptic technology, you get the same first class performance month after month, year after year. Yet, with all that strength, the cable is extremely light and flexible.

At the business end of the Welch Allyn 300-Watt Xenon Headlight System is an extremely comfortable headband and a precision-optic luminaire with adjustable spot size. The well-padded headband features two way ratchet adjustments for easy and precise fit. The luminaire features one rotating and three articulating joints providing unlimited position and direction adjustment.
